I did a quick browse after the last update, couldn't find anything new, those new weapon skins didn't appear as the last # files so they must be somewhere deeper inside.
But I found ome thing I've never seen in gw.dat, this:
a small GW2 logo inside gw.dat, what is it doing there?

According to Linsey Murdock, the dev who created the new area, the weapons were created a year ago. It just took this long for the area to be designed and coded.

Yay! The end run is out now, which has been my little side project for a while now. Other than a couple bumps here and there (which are generally to be expected) it seems to be going over pretty well which makes me happy. John Hargrove and I have been talking about doing an end run for over a year now so seeing it finally out is exciting. We had the weapons made last year in preparation so it was just up to when I would have time to do the design and writing.

Wow, so I didn't notice this until now, but look.
For Collect Krait Swords you actually are giving Shifty Williams swords.
For Stop the Weapons Shipment you have to kill Shifty Williams from giving weapons to the Centaurs.
You put two and two together and one player starts an event for another player by turning in a quest. In other words,
Player A collects Krait swords and goes and gives them to Shifty for the reward. Shifty says "thankee" and then a few minutes later runs off towards the Centaur camp. Players closer to the Centaur camp get a message from Captain Harkness that there is word of an illegal weapons shipment to stop.
Wow, if that is anything close... I must say I am looking forward to such interconnectedness. More and more it seems that WAR's public quests are a way of hiding the grind instead of feeling like being in an organic world.* I am in awe of A.Net's vision.
*I am not just pulling this out thin air, there is a site that leaks WAR information, and there is heavy discussion about how a WAR public quest is basically: Step 1 - Kill 50-100 mobs, Step 2 - Kill 10-20 elite mobs, Step 3 - Kill boss plus adds.

Wow, that would be so incredibly awesome! If this is what they meant when they said that GW2 will have a dinamic quest system, I'm gonna be one happy camper :P
I hope these sorts of quests will be going on very frequently, because I'd feel bad if I kept on missing them.

Loamhurst is that place in Divinity Coast.
Could it be that they are planning to make new explorables using already existing mission areas in Prophecies?

I have a feeling they are going to do some kind of quest keeper/lorebook/tome of knowledge that tracks what you do. Linsey mentioned a while back that they would not do it for GW1 because it was basically too late and it was something to consider for GW2 (paraphrasing) but to do it right you would have to start from the beginning.

That wasnt exactly Anet having fun with the Dat group. It was more like the Dat browsers having fun telling everyone of the progressing Marketplace strings forceing Anet to remove them.

What's next in the GW dat?
Please don't turn this into a debate over the new title or anything, there's plenty of threads for that. What I'm asking is, there was much debate over some sort of zaishen title starting a while ago, based on what was in the gw.dat file. Now it turns out that the zaishen title is true, as were the list of 3rd year minipets being discovered before they were released.
So what about the other things people found in the dat file? Double booze/sweets weekend? Anything else? Anet seems to play everything close to the vest but there are obviously some people who can figure out what's coming. I'm sure there's tons of other players who would like some hint of which way the wind is blowing.

By default it's in C:\Program Files\Guild Wars
It's a really big file that contains all the data Guild Wars needs to in order to run.
Some people use software to look into this .dat file and can see stuff that Arena Net puts in there during an update.
Note: .dat is a data archive.

So everlasting tonics/tonics were found in the dat file before.
So anyone think Anet would put the years entire lineup in??
or has anyone found anything regarding the new tonics?

Imo, Quick prefix/suffix would make you attack faster, and Rage prefix/suffix would make you deal more damage. I think Quick would be a prefix and Rage a suffix- I cant really imagine "I'm wielding a Rage Destroyer Scythe of Quick!" . Shame it was scrapped.. Perma IAS would be win
